My name is Callum Lynch and I have the privilege of being a teacher, traveller, and a lifelong learner.
My story begins with a nonprofit, Delta Life Skills Society, where I began my first job at fourteen supporting children and youth with diverse abilities. Initially, I started as a Recreation Worker and later worked my way up to Assistant Leader and then Site Leader soon after. In 2014, I was hired as the Program Director and managed the programming while also working as an Educational Assistant and Inner-City Youth Worker in Surrey, BC. I continued this work while completing my Bachelors and Teaching Certification. In 2018, I started my teaching career in Delta District before moving to Vancouver Island where I now teach in the Nanaimo Ladysmith District. Today, I continue to work as a volunteer member of the DLSS Board of Directors, offer consultation services for families of children and youth with diverse needs, and run weekly social groups for young adults. In addition to these experiences, I have carved out the time to travel throughout Asia, Australia, and Europe. This site acts as my my digital filing cabinet where I can gather a variety of assistive ideas that support student learning within and outside of the classroom. My educational interests include technology in education, literacy, numeracy, and essential lifeskills. I hope that you find something useful as you shuffle through the orderly folders of my disorganized mind. |
